In the year 3017, humankind has finally reached out into space. They have discovered faster than light travel, and have seen other planets and races in the Galactic System. But with this knowledge, comes a responsibility to follow the G.S. laws and codes regarding the Galaxy. In this time, the Galactic System Rulers are the Ark Federation, a conglomeration of races from around the galaxy. They have the task of deciding what is 'right and good' for all of the peoples of space. But is that what they are really doing?

Fall chapter 6

Sasuka grunted a bit as she crunched herself into a small corner of the cargo area. "Damn.. this thing's all kinda cramped, eh?" she asked Okeyan with a grin.

"A bit." Okeyan agreed, wriggling around so as to stop his blaster jabbing him in the thigh. "Though I must admit, it might be roomier if Hanna cleaned out some of this junk."

"That junk," Hanna said, her voice broadcasted into the cargo bay, "Is necessary for my line of work, so you can just shut yer trap. I could very easily open the door and shoot you out into space."

"How longs it been now? A couple clicks since we started scannig the surface and still we havent come with something." Neb was lying on his back behind Hanna's chair in the cockpit with his leg out streched up and his feet resting on the ceiling. He was toying with the diffrent settings of his gun and switching it from plasma charge, to ice charge, to the electrical wave, and then back to normal. The little beeps that came form the gun were starting to form into a song as he changed the rythme and speed of the changes.

"Well, that's whatcha get, specially on a planet like this." Hanna said, switching the comm off and going back to scanning her board. "Ye can't expect to find anyone straight away. And get your feet off my roof." She said for what felt like the fiftieth time. "Yer welcome to go surfaceside if you want."

"And leave this wonderful little ship where everyone's just o' so comfy? Never!" He leaned his head back to look over the scanning board himself. "besides there's got to be some sign that they're down there."

Sasuka gave the wall seperating the cargo bay from the cockpit a light banging. "Oi! We're runnin' outta air in 'ere!" she called. She sighed and sat back, blowing a bit of hair out of her face.

"No you're not!" Hanna yelled, reaching around Neb to bang back. "I keep bounties in there, I can't have em dying of asphyxiation. Just keep yer panties on." Turning back to her monitors, she told Neb "Well, there isn't yet... wait..." Leaning closer to the monitor, she flipped a switch and turned two dials, fine tuning her scanner. "I've got a lock on something."

"'Bout bloody time!" came Sasuka's muffled voice from behind the wall. "Hurry up, er I'll have no choice but ta rape yer boyfriend back 'ere!" she joked.

"Hey hey, I thought we agreed on no rapeage when you took a separate room!" Okeyan joked back, scooting away from Sasuka as best he could.

"Would you two keep it down?" Hanna said exasperatedly, rolling her eyes. "And believe me, Okeyan's too much work to rape. When he's conscious."

"What's that supposed to mean?" Said a slightly alarmed Okeyan.

"Absolutely nothing." Hanna replied with a grin.

As the ship moved in the on the signals Hanna had picked up they seemed to be moving towards more of an industrial area on the planet, or at least what was left of one. Once they had gotten to the main area where the signal was coming from, they found an old run down ARK factory with a nice little lift off pad on the roof were Hanna decided to set the ship down.

"Alright people. There's no way I'm gonna be able to fly everywhere, so this'll be home base." Hanna said, twisting around in her seat and flipping on the comm link to the cargo area. "Remember, this is twice the grav we're used to, and the bounties've been here a while, so don't go so far you won't make it back before you die." Pressing another pair of buttons, she exposed the cargo bay and opened the cockpit.

While the Hatches opened their was a sudden burst of wind as the pressure inside the ship stabilized to the pressure out side the ship and the gravity became that much more intense. Sitting up and then hoping out of the ship Neb walked around for a moment to get use to the new enviorment. The Oxygen rich air felt good when it flowed through his lungs, and the Gravity wasn't as bad as he'd thought it'd be.

Sasuka scrambled to climb out of the cargo bay, tripping and falling into the dirt with a grunt. She quickly stood and dusting herself off, stretching. "Ah, finally!" she sighed.

The old factory building the team had landed on was in fairly decent shape for the years it had been out of business. On the roof were the team had landed there was a small hole in the floor with it's hatch propped open so that it stood erect casting it's silhouette against the skyline. The hole gave way to a stair well leading further inside the building. The edges of the roof were guarded by several guard rails, some of which were broken apart in some places. Off to the back side of the ship their was a lower portion of the roof that gave a wonderful view of the surrounding lands. The roof itself was made out of steel and had some foam padding on the top for insulation, but over the years it had also begun to decay in some areas.

Kicking moldy bits of insulation out of her way, Hanna scrambled out of the cockpit. Making sure everyone was out, she closed the cockpit but left the cargo bay open. "If anyone finds him, let us know through the link." She said, tapping the small bud inserted in her ear. "Please try not to get lost or seriously injured."

"What makes you think we're splitting up?" Neb asked as he checked the settings on his pistol one final time.

"Cover more ground that way." Hanna said, checking over her blaster as well. "We could go in pairs, if you like." She said, raising an eyebrow.

"That soun's like fun t' me!" Sasuka grinned. She ran at Okeyan, looping her arm through his. Giving a wink, she jutted a thumb at him and said, "I wanna go with this stud!"

Okeyan grinned in a bemused way and raised an eyebrow, mouthing to Hanna "Since when have I been a stud?"

Hanna grinned and said back "Since you were put out with all the other eligible ladies." Sliding the power pack back into her blaster with a snap, she said "C'mon Neb. Let's head out. And no STD sharing, you two." She joked, pointing back at Sasuka and Okeyan before descending the stairs.

"Fine." Neb said holstering his blaster after completing the final check. "You still got the signal?" He said to Hanna, heading over to the stairs and shining a flashlight down the ramp.

"Course I do..." Hanna's voice floated back, growing fainter as they moved away.

"What makes you think I've got one?!" Sasuka shouted, waving an arm at Hanna, grinning. "And I'm pretty sure Okie-dokie here is clean.. still looks virgin..." she said, tapping her chin, as if inspecting him.

"Please don't call me that." Okeyan said with a grimace and a tone that indicated long suffering. "No one calls me that. And how can you tell what I've done just by looking?" He said, walking over to follow Hanna and Neb down the stairs.

"Whate'er ya say, boyo." Sasuka shrugged, also following behind Hanna and Neb. "And trus' me.. I can jus' tell." she said, giving him a wink.

"It's a long tone, then a beep then another long one. You still got your link?" Hanna asked, glancing over her shoulder.

The stairwell in just as bad condition as the roof, if not worse. The railing was coated in rust and the metal steps creaked with each little movement. The lights were long out of use and most of the doors would have to be pried open due to the outdated locking mechanism. "Yeah, we should be good so long as we keep heading towards the signal. If you see anything interesting besure to let us know." Neb cautiously moved down the stairs as he talked.

Hanna nodded, dispensing with talk now that they were within the echoey bowels of the abandoned factory. Once reaching the foot of the stairs she slid along with her back to the wall, blaster out and ready in the case of meeting anything in need of killing.

The team descended floor after floor of the factory and checking each one as they went for the signal Hanna picked up from the air. So far they seemed to be running thin on luck, with the only things they could find were missing steps and mutated rats that seemed more interested in the shadows than the strangers in their home. For what seemed liked sevral deca-clicks the group made it's way to the lobby of the building which was still in farily decent shape, exluding the few tattered drapes and the holes in the furnature. Neb decided to let the group rest here for a moment before moving on with the search while he checked to see if the main computer was still operational.

Hanna flopped down in a couch, waving away the immediate mushroom cloud of dust motes. "Great. I know I picked something up in here..." She muttered to herself, checking the small scanner she had fixed to her belt. It was still blinking the signal at her, telling them there was definetly something bigger than rats in the factory.

"Are you sure you wired that thing properly?" Okeyan asked, emerging from a side hallway that he and Sasuka had just been exploring. His hair was covered in dust, making him look at least twenty years older.

"Of course I'm sure." Hanna said with a sigh as she leaned her head back on the low couch. "I had to rewire it after I went after Harrington. He managed to pry off the back and tear everything out, and it took me ages to get it working again."

"Why does that not inspire much confedence?" Neb asked apsent mindedly while working on installing the hook-up from his helmet to allow Sirch acess to the computer. It was one of older models from at least ten years ago and didn't have interplantary communication upgrades.

Sasuka had both hands in her pockets as she looked around, strolling in the lobby, as if in a fanciful daze. She whistled lightly and poked her head here and there. After a time, she crouched down on the floor, her arms around her knees, to inspect the mutated rats. "Lovely bunch o' coconuts, wouldn't ya say?"

Neb's ears pricked up at Sasuka's words and a smile broke over his face as he began to sing "I've got a lovely bunch of coconuts..."

"There they are standin' in a row!" Sasuka shouted, grinning at her echoing voice.

"Big ones, small ones, some as large as your head!" Neb bobbed his head form side to side with the rythme. There was a small beep from the computer signaling that it was ready for the uplink.

"Give em a twist..." Hanna started.

"A flick of the wrist..." Okeyan answered back, grinning.

"That's what the showman said!" They finished in unison, dissolving into laughter as the link between the ship and the computer was established.

"Why do I get the feeling I don't want to know?" Came Allie's bemused voice out of Neb's headset.

Sasuka shook her head, laughing. "Good times."

"Good Times indeed." Neb was still trying to control the laughter by applying his wrist to his mouth to cut off the sound. It wasn't working too well. "Allie, see if you can't find something useful form this hunk o' junk. Blue prints, what the plant was used for, or anything that might aid us." He was leaning over the computer as he talked and sure everything was running smoothly for her, before she began the download.

The only sound for a minute was the sound of dying laughter and the whir of the computer as Allie interfaced. Finally, her voice issued from the helmet again, saying "There's not much in here. Just a boring daily activities log, and some maps of the floor plan. They're really old, so the data's partly eaten through, but I'll send em to you guys anyway." She proceeded to do so, downloading the files to Neb's helmet. "That should be it. Oh, and there's something else..." But here she paused, as if looking through something one more time.

"What is it Allie?" Okeyan prompted, not wanting to be held in suspense.

"Not much... There's just a log entry mentioning someone going down a flight of steps that aren't marked on the map..." Allie said, sounding slightly unsure. "I'm not sure if it's much of anything, but I'll mark where it is on the files." She said, placing a red flag on a seemingly empty stretch of wall. "That's about it. Happy hunting, everybody."

"Lets go see what we can find then." Neb said placing his back helmet with a click. He downloaded the file and marked the area on his map so as to make sure he would know where it was at.

Hanna nodded, hearing a small ping as Allie sent the files to her scanner. Superimposing the map over what was already there, she found that the signal she had picked up was coming from behind the concealed stairs. "I guess that's where we're headed."

"Ah, finally some action!" Sasuka grinned, balling her hands into fists excitedly. "Let's get goin' then!" She got up off the floor and ran to Hanna and peering over her shoulder at the map. "That would be.... this way?" she asked, pointing to her left.

"Forward first, you loon." Hanna said, laughing as she set off in the right direction.

"I knew that.." Sasuka said, giving a playful pout as she followed Hanna, her hands folded behind her head.

The group moved forward through an elaborate hall, down another small set of stairs until they reached what seemed to be on the map something like a sub-basement. There were numerous crates scattered though out the 20ft square area. Some were even stacked as high as the 15ft cieling. For all the junk in the room it seemed to be an old storage basement with nothing out of the usual.

Hanna scanned her screen, then raked the room with her eyes. "Not much to say." She said in a whisper, the atmosphere of the room demanding it. "But I don't like it. There's a lot of cover in here for anyone trying to hide."

Sasuka sighed, looking around the room with lazy eyes. It was obvious she was bored. "That there fancy machine o' yers mus' be busted, Hanna. Led us straight to a dead end, it did." she said, walking past her and further into the room, looking the tall stacks of boxes up and down.

"No, I'm positive it's right." Hanna said, checking her screen one more time before moving forward. Running her hands over the walls and shifting aside boxes, she worked her way methodically around the room, muttering to herself the entire time.

"What're you looking for, anyway?" Okeyan asked, following Hanna and moving boxes out of her way when it seemed she wasn't paying attention.

"Something..." Hanna said distractedly, stepping over another box.

"Somethin', anythin' would be nice." Sasuka said, shaking her head. She walked to a wall at her left and crossed her arms, leaning against it on one shoulder, her legs crossed at the ankles. She watched Hanna and Okeyan rather amused.

"Well there has to be something, it's not like we'll just phase through the floor or anything..." Neb was down on his hands and knees searching the floor for some kind of hint as to where the door might be.

Sasuka gave an annoyed sigh and rolled from her one shoulder to her back, letting her hands drop to her sides. She banged her head against the wall a couple times, then looked down to watch Neb. Her eyes caught a glimmer of something on the floor and she brushed the dust and cobwebs from it with one booted foot, her brow furrowing. "What's this-?" she muttered to herself, poking at it with her toes. There was a loud click of her foot brushing against a switch and she let out a scream as the wall she leaned against seemed to litterally disappear out from under her, causing her to fall backwards.

Hanna and Okeyan whirled around in unison, having heard the scream from halfway across the room. Vaulting boxes, they made their way back to the stairs and the hole in the wall into which Sasuka had fallen. "Good job, Sasuka," Okeyan said with a grin, offering a hand to the girl on the ground.

Hanna, meanwhile, checked her scanner, confirming that the signal was indeed coming from beyond the hole. "Looks like this thing was right after all." She said, waving it at Sasuka.

"Shut yer yap." Sasuka growled, rubbing her butt with one hand and taking Okeyan's hand with the other. She stood with a groan and looked behind her into the dark hole in the wall. "What a trip.."

"A hard light projection, hmm," Neb said examining the place where the wall use to be. "Sirch, can you pull up that map maker program."

"Yeah, but it'll take a second to download." Sirch pulled up the files and clicked away at getting the download started.

"Before we go on is everyone all set? Gear, Weapons, food rations, etc?" Neb was busy going through his own stuff as he talked so he didn't look up at anyone else.

"All limbs and internal organs?" Hanna said, poking Neb in the stomach as she walked by.

"Yep, I think I'm all here..." Okeyan said, patting himself down as he followed Hanna. "It's alright if I'm missing my tonsils and a couple wisdom teeth, right?"

"S'long as ya got yer nads an' a paira workin' lungs, yer good!" Sasuka laughed, giving Okeyan a playful punch in the shoulder as he passed her.

"Guess that explains why you have no heart." Okeyan joked back, turning around and grinning as he stuck his tongue out at Sasuka.

Sasuka gave a playful pout, crossing her arms, but a grin tugged at the corners of her mouth. "Aw, thas not nice, boyo."

Neb smiled to himself and there was a slight ping in his helmet, "Ok, stop flirting you two and lets get on with this." He taunted moving pass them and into the point position.

" 'oo says we were flirtin'? A little playful banter ne'er 'urt nobody." Sasuka joked, then gave Okeyan a small jab in the ribs with her elbow. "Ain't that right?"

"Of course not." Okeyan said, glancing with a small smile at Hanna's back as she moved down the hall.

"But it can alert other things as to the very fleshy and able-to-bleed bodies that we are encased in." Hanna responded, the light on her watch only travelling a little way into the blackness. "So quiet would probably be good for now, hm?"

Neb chuckled to himself at Sasuka's and Okeyan's games as he made his down the hall. So long as they didn't do anything too stupid he was okay with it. "Just don't let your guard dow-" Cut off by a blue light eminating from the floor he disappeared in a flash of teleportation.

Hanna, following right behind Neb, was only able to look up at the flash before being sucked in too, only able to let out a strangled yell as she was sucked into the teleporter.

Okeyan froze on the spot as he saw first Neb then Hanna disappear into the teleporter. Staring at the spot, blinking in an effort to get his night-vision back, he finally got up the nerve to whisper "Neb? Hanna?" He still couldn't see, the flash of light having temporarily destroyed that ability.

"Oi, best not take 'nother step there.." Sasuka muttered, mostly to herself. There were a few random clicking noises as she pulled out her gun, switching on the small flashlight that sat ontop of the barrel, just under the crosshairs. She moved it around the room's floor, spotting the ring that was the teleporter. "Slipp'ry.."

A hand lashed out against the darkness and ripped open a portal not far from where Sasuka was standing, "Clearly not slippery enough..." the voice that came from the portal was quickly followed by the girl hanna had come across on a previous mission. She was sending a flying kick at Sasuka that would send her back into another portal that ripped open behind her.

"Shat! Neb! Where'd you go?" Hanna called, staring all around her. The area lighting up all around her just before had temporarily blinded her, and she was currently rubbing her eyes with the heel of one hand to try and restore seeing capabilities.

Hanna now found herself in a kitchen of sorts, there were pots and pand scattered all around the place. The smell of freshly cooked food wafted through the air. There was also some clinking sounds over by what appeared to be a very large refregerator. Neb was also no where to be seen.

"Craps." Hanna blinked her eyes, tears leaking out as she finaly was able to look around. "Wow. Too weird." She stood where she was, tense as a bowstring as she looked the kitchen over. While messy, at least it wasn't bare. Shaking her head, she decided to very cautiously proceed towards the clinking, her blaster at the ready.

There was a sudden jerky motion from the fridge followed by a clunk and then "Ow, Damnit." Rubbing the back of his head Sillas stood up with sandwhich plate in his hands.

Hanna froze, her eyes wide in what could be shock. "You!" she said, too stunned to think for a second. This was way too easy.

"Me?" Sillas mocked as he turned to look at the strange girl before him.

Blinking once more, Hanna shrugged. Without saying another word she brought her blaster up lightning fast and shot right at Sillas' chest, aiming just to the side of any vital organs.

Sillas gave a surprised shout and dropped his sandwhich while round stepping with his left foot to avoid the shot which ended up nailing him in the upper shoulder, rendering it immobile. With out wasting any time the brought himself into a roll towards the left wall and slammed his fist into a button. The room began to flash with red sirens and a girl's voice came over the intercom "Short Range Anti-gravity servos activated."

"What?" Hanna said, stopping herself from running after Sillas just in time. Everything slowly lifted of the floor, including her and the bounty, and if she had gotten under way she would have found herself running headlong into a wall. Or Sillas. Tsk-ing, she twisted around in midair, propelling herself off a nearby chair to move towards Sillas, aiming her blaster as she went. "Think a little anti-grav's gonna stop me?" She challenged, maneuvering around the room by bouncing off various bits of stuff.

"No" Sillas repllied calmly crouching down along a near by wall, "But it will help me kill you." With that he rocketed off the wall at a speed that seemed to defy logic and landed gracefully on the ceiling above Hanna. Then with out even a pause for breath Sillas hurled himself at Hanna, flipping in mid air and slamming an axe kick down at her exposed rib cage.

Seeing his approach, Hanna quickly curled into a ball, taking the force of the blow on her shin. Yelling as the hit connected, she felt herself blown backwards and slammed against the floor. She heard a sort of thunk as the back of her head connected, and she drifted away, dazed from her forced landing.

The force of the hit bounced Sillas back up towards the ceiling where he bent his legs and launched himself at Hanna extending his leg into a flying side kcik at her abdomen.

Struggling to think, Hanna reacted automatically, pushing herself of the nearby floor and rotating into a kick directly towards Sillas'. Their two kicks connected, launching Hanna back towards the floor, this time with a numb feeling in her leg.

The force from the rebound kick left Sillas hovering in the middle of the room with nothing to to easily propel himself with. So he just grabbed one of the near by plates, spun in mid air, and hurled it at Hanna.

Hanna just glimpsed the plate flying towards her when her arm jerked reflexively, bringing up her blaster and blowing the plate out of the air. The force of her gun going off propelled her towards the ground again, though at a much more leisurely pace.

The torque from hurdling the plate moved Sillas enough so that he could grab onto one of near by stoves, which he used to reach the ceiling over Hanna. He then shot down, spinning his body as he went to form a sort of drilling motion with his foot aiming right at Hanna's mid section.

Getting the idea from the plate, Hanna brought her blaster up again. Taking a fraction of a second to aim, she squeezed the trigger, sending a laser bullet blasting towards Sillas' foot.

The shot caught the very tip of Sillas foot and zoomed past his head, "MOTHER FUC-!!" he screamed in pain as blood started to ooze into the air. Pulling the wounded leg up to his chest Sillas used to momentum to twirl himself around in a 360 arc where he kicked with his good leg at the hand Hanna was using to hold her gun with.

Jerking her gun hand away, Hanna pushed off the floor and rolled towards the wall, barely avoiding Sillas' attack. Her mind was starting to come together again, and she started squeezing off shots at Sillas as she steadied herself by bouncing off random pieces of flotsam.

Sillas kicked off a near by floating chair with the heel of his bad toe, it wasn't much but just enough to get him to a wall so he could bounce about the room while staying caddycorner to Hanna. The shots from her gun were just barely missing him, and when he lost sight of her for a second because of a floating chair one of bullets ripped into his left shoulder.

Bouncing off the walls, ceiling, anything, Hanna kept reminding herself to keep her movements random, all the while firing towards Sillas. Aided by her blaster, she was eventually able to get up a good amount of momentum, concentrating on avoiding attacks.

Sillas kept his distance from the girl as he carefully bounced around the room, making his way towards where the fight had originally began. Once he was back over to his original position, he pulled himself down behind a counter for protection from her shots. "You seemed to have learned rather quickly how to adapt to an anti-gravity" he said pulling his legs back up towards his chest.

"A person can learn anything quickly if the alternative is death." Hanna said cautiously, navigating around to come to an almost rest next to a wall.

"Yeah, but the question is how much can you learn?" He taunted, waiting for the girl to take flight again.

"Enough." Hanna said. Tensing, she sighted her target, then kicked off the wall as hard as she could.

This was it, just what Sillas was waiting for. He shot his leg out like a jack hammer and nailed the Anti-gravity button on the side of the wall, making sure to catch Hanna in mid flight.

The gravity kicked in almost instantly, sending Hanna plummeting towards the ground. Tucking as she fell, Hanna rolled with her momentum, coming up to her knees and firing a shot directly at Sillas.

Jerking to his left the bullet caught him in his left shoulder.

Quickly readjusting, Hanna fired off five shots in quick succession, all aiming for semi-vital areas.

Without enough time to react all five shots hit their marks, and Sillas fell with an agonized scream.

"That's what you get." Hanna muttered, flipping the setting down slightly and shooting for Sillas' head.

The shot hit Sillas right between the eyes and his head gave a very satisfying snap backwards from the force of the blast before it thudded against the cold tile floor.

Twirling her blaster around her fingers and blowing on the end before holstering it, Hanna picked herself up off the ground, hearing quite a few things pop before she was upright. Reaching into one of her pockets she pulled out a length of very fine, very strong cord, and proceeded to hog tie Sillas, not caring whether she was particularly gentle.

Sasuka gasped, finding herself spinning to dodge the kick, but grunted when it slid across her ribs. She grabbed at the girl's ankle, falling backwards and pulling them both into the rift. "Okeyan!" she shouted, before disappearing.

"Well, ain't this just dandy now?" Okeyan said, scratching his head and glancing back and forth between where the two portals were. The one Sasuka had disappeared into was gone, but he was pretty sure Hanna could take care of herself. And Neb, if it came to that. Sighing, he began probing the walls to see if there was a way around without dematerializing.

Sasuka grunted in pain, having landed hard on the other side on her back, her hand still clentching the other girl's ankle. she tossed it from her hand and sat up looking around quickly.

Sasuka would find herself to be in what appeared to be the main factory section of the building. There were a number of cranes and treadmills on production lines, but none of the equipment seemed to be active. The main controls were located in the north eastern corner of the room about a floor up from her corner position and two large sets of doors on both the east and south ends of the room.

The girl did a back flip away from Sasuka and disappeared into another portal, leaving Sasuka to her knew surroundings. Flying through the dimensional rift the girl headed right for Okeyan.

"Damnit, come back 'ere!" Sasuks shouted, chasing the girl, but sighed in annoyance when the portal disappeared, the girl with it. "Okay then.." she muttered, putting her hands on her hips. She looked around once more, then closed her eyes and waved a lazy finger around in a circle. When it stopped, she opened one eye and nodded. "This way tis then." she said, heading to the south end of the room.

"There's got to be a way..." Okeyan muttered to himself, staring at the wall with his chin in his hand. He had searched all around the hallway, carefully avoiding the teleporter, but had found nothing. Not that he was surprised. He unfortunately failed to notice the portal opening up behind him.

The girl errupted from the portal behind Okeyan and flew at him head first in an all out take-down move, with another portal opening in front of him.

Okeyan's head snapped up, and he only had enough time to half turn and unsheathe his blaster. It was enough, though, and he managed to squeeze off a shot in the girl's general direction just before being forced into the portal.

The shot clipped the girl on her left shoulder, burning the flesh and sending her slightly off balance so she had to grapple on to his shoulder to force him into the portal.

A large head errupted over from a near by pile of machinery, it looked around for a moment as if confused until it finally found Sasuka, "Damn you people move fast, I heard there were intruders but get'n this far takes effort. My hats off to you girl." Tenzen climbed up out from the garbage slowly, his six extra legs making it diffuicult to get past the machinery. Once he was on top of the rubble he drew his twin Katanas and came rushing at Sasuka, "Too bad Is gots to kill ya!"

Sasuka grinned and cracked her knuckles on her fingers. "What makes ya think ya can?!" she shouted back, rushing at him as well. She reached to her hip and pulled her plasma revolver, clicking back the old-fashioned hammer, but kept it hidden.

Tenzen leapt at the girl swinging both his swords down in a diagnol slashing, trying to cleave her in two straight down the center.

Sasuka let out a laugh, rolling to the side at the last moment so that his blades only made contact with the floor. In an instant, she was on one knee with her revolver pointed at his head. "Open up." she grinned.

Tenzen Whipped his head around to face the girl, he's eyes gleaming with dark delight. "Pleasure" he said before opening up his mouth and spewing webbing at her gun and face. The spray was quick and wide spread, at this range it would be hard to avoid.

Sasuka let out a shout as the webbing attached itself to her gun and face and tangled in her hair. "Bastard!" she cursed, pulling at it. She let out a loud growl as it wreched her hair, but she pulled it off her face. She blinked, trying to get her sight back.

Tenzen hissed violently at the girl as he brought one of the swords into an upward slice, trying to cleave the girl in two.

Sasuka lifted her pistol up above her head, meaning to block the sword as best she could (though with this guys muscles, doubted she could. What's the hurt in tryin'?) but accidentally squeezed off a shot, flinching as the blast ricocheted off his blade and went flying elsewhere.

Tenzen hissed madly as the shot forced his blade out of position and streching his arm into an awkward position.

Sasuka felt along the hilt of her gun, finding the switch that turned it to a lower frequency, then with only one eye open, shot at his rib cage. It was only a stunner shot, designed to stun the enemy into immobilization, not really hurt. It was easy for her to do this in a split second, she could do it with her eyes closed.

Tenzen gasped from the shot as it collided with his abdomen, sending the large spider-like creature stumbling back words trying to catch it's breath.

Sasuka took advantage of the opening to finish peeling off the rest of the web, then stood, walking to him. "S'too bad, ya know. You were mah favorite one." she said, pointing at him down the barrel of her gun.

Tenzen Hissed at Sasuka and leaped into the air about fifteen-twenty feet. Once he was high enough above her the spider freak let out a wide spray of webbing from his mouth to try and restrain the girl.

"Not again!" Sasuka growled loudly. She tried to jump out of the way, but the heavy webbing landed on her lower half, restraining her legs to the floor all up to her waist. As she was pulled down by the massive webs to the floor, she screamed, her gun being knocked out of her hand. She growled and tried to get up, sitting up on her elbows.

Tenzen glared at the girl, walking over to her, placing his feet carefully around her and raised his sword for the final strike.

Shite! How do ya get outta this one, Sasuka?! Sasuka thought angrily, glaring up at him. She closed her eyes tightly in anticipation of the blade cutting her skin, when a sudden bullet rang out, knocking Tenzen's sword from his grasp.

"I wouldn't do that if I were you." came a strangly familiar voice from the shadows of a higher platform. A smoking pistol was the only thing that could be seen, apart from a white lab coat.

Even before Tenzen's first sword had hit the ground near Sasuka's head, sticking perpendicular to the floor, the spider creature whirled around unsheathing one of this other blades. "Who are you?" he demaned, crouching down and preparing for the unexpected.

Okeyan landed on his shoulder, hearing something crack very loudly before his reflexes took in and rolled him to the side. He slid up onto his knees, then the balls of his feet, staring all around this new room for the girl, holding his blaster at the ready.

Another portal opened up at his feet and the girl sprang from it with an uppercut towards his chin.

Wrenching his head back, Okeyan barely managed to avoid the jaw-crushing attack. Falling over on his back, he took a quick aim and then used both of his feet to kick out at the newly emerged girl.

The kick landed square on the girls rib-cage sending her flying down the hall. After skidding across the floor for a few feet she finally rolled to a halt half way down the hall. She slowly rose to her knees and shock off the kick before throwing a shuriken type device at him.

Picking himself up, Okeyan reacted by instinct, holding up his hand to catch the shuriken. Catching himself at the last second, he twisted his hand and deflected it to the side and into a wall, ignoring as it sliced through his palm. Leaning forward, he surged into a sprint, charging at the girl.

The girl jumped back onto her feet, flinging more shurikin his way.

Okeyan zig-zagged back and forth, still running towards the girl and doing his best to ignore when the shuriken cut through his skin. Once he was in range, he let out one last burst of energy, leaping towards the girl and tackling her around the waist.

The girl let out a small scream as Okeyan slammed her onto the ground. "Pig!!" She screeched into his face before sending a knee towards his abs.

Okeyan grunted, feeling the blood spurt out of a few of his closer cuts. Wrestling with the girl for a few moments, he finally managed to get on top, straddling her thighs and holding her arms down with his. Panting, he caught his breath before saying "O... kay... What do you want here?"

The girl glared Okyean for a few seconds before planting her feet to the ground so that her knees bent to form a nintey degree angle with the floor. With out any other warning she she pushed up with her legs and hips, arching her back and twisting to the side in an attempt to fling the man off.

Okeyan yelled as his damaged shoulder hit the floor. Loosening his legs just a bit, he managed to keep them around the girl's waist as he was rolled over onto his back.

"What do we want? You're the ones who invaded our base!!" She raised her fist and sent it slamming down towards Okeyans head, aiming right between the eyes.

"But you're the ones who're on the wanted list in the first place." Okeyan said, pushing her fist aside with an arm. "So you had to have done something."

"You ever try not sticking your neck where it doesn't belong?" She asked shoving another fist his way.

"Nope." Okeyan answered truthfully, beginning to smile a bit as he knocked this fist out of the way too. "Ever try not being a criminal?"

"To make a diffrence you sometimes have to get a little blood on your hands." She snapped back at Okeyan, plowing another fist down towards him. "Ya know, the whole omelet thing."

Okeyan twisted his head, gritting his teeth as her knuckled glanced off his cheekbone. "Never liked the things myself." He grunted, grabbing her wrists. Curling his legs up to his chest, he pulled on her arms, sliding himself out from under her. As he slid out he kicked out with his feet, directly at the girl's face.

His feet connected solidly with the girl's face and she was sent hurdalling back wards with blood shooting from the girls nose. After she had regained her self she took a few steps back and repostioned herself from Okeyan to put herself at a more tactical angle to him. "Not bad for a piece of trash bounty hunter." She said whipping the blood from her face.

"You're not bad yourself." Okeyan said, grinning like a maniac as he rolled himself to his feet. Retreiving his blaster from where it had dropped during the fight, he held it up pointing directly at the girl's chest. Blood was starting to leak into his eye from a cut on his head, but he didn't wipe it away. "Unfortunately, I'm going to have to take you in."

"Ha! Good luck with that." The sneered and snapped out her left arm into a punch that traveled through on of her portals and came out the other end next to Okeyan's face.

Reacting just a little too slow, Okeyan managed to squeeze off a shot that traveled straight towards the girl's knee just before he felt the fist impact his face, sending him sprawling across the floor.

The girl shrieked as the shot smashed into her kneecap and sent her tumbling to the floor. On her way down she sent another punch through a portal at Okeyan's face yet again.

Okeyan yelled in pain and curled up into a half ball, cradling his face in his hands. His nose was probably broken, and he would have a pretty good pair of black eyes the next day. Rolling to a sitting position then getting to his feet, he glared at the girl through the hand covering his face. "Dammit. Last straw, lady." He said. Grabbing his blaster once more, he aimed and fired at her other kneecap, then her elbows, all the while slowly advancing on her.

The girl rolled on her side, hissing from the pain in her knee and barely avoided the shots. Propped up with one elbow her other hand darted into a pocket by her side where she withdrew a few shuriken. Without wasting a moment she hurled the shuriken through some portals that opened up at close range to Okeyan from multiple directions.

Okeyan had a split second to recognize what was going on before he brought his arm up to cover his face and twisted, either deflecting or taking minimal damage from the shuriken. Pulling out of his spin, he kept advancing on the girl, still calmly shooting for her joints.

The girl screamed in agony as the shots collided with her flesh. Each shot from Okeyan's blaster was precise taking out the girl's other knee along with her elbows, leaving her squirming in rage on the ground.

Finally lowering his blaster with a sigh, Okeyan went to crouch down next to the girl, still being sure to stay out of range of any retaliatory moves she might come up with. "I suppose I take you back to the ship now. But how am I supposed to get out of here?" He wondered, looking around the room.

The girl grunted at Okeyan and attempted to roll away, one side tumbling over the other to a sort of double door.

Sighing, Okeyan stood up and followed at a leisurely pace. Twisting down the setting on his blaster so it was just enough to keep a full grown person knocked out for about half a day, he took aim and fired directly at the girl's head.

The shot hit dead on, successfully knocking the girl out.

"Now." Okeyan said, taking some energy cuffs out of a pouch on his belt. He cuffed the girl's wrists and ankles together, then used another to cuff those two pairs together. Grabbing her by the collar of her shirt, he walked over to the doors.

Behind the doors was a large hallway, leading to a multitude of other rooms. At the very far end of the hall was another set of large double doors with a blinking exit sign wobbling back and forth above them.

"Hmm..." Okeyan stood in the doorway, stroking his chin in a vaguely maniacal-villain manner. "This seems too easy... But I can't go back the way I came." He said, glaring down at the girl. "Guess I just gotta go for it." Grabbing the girl by the collar, he stepped into the hallway, heading for the far exit door.

Once Okeyan had gotten past the doors he found himself outside. To his left was what appeared to be an old factory building.

"Where are we?" Okeyan mumbled, running his free hand through his hair. Glancing down, he saw that his tracker had been cracked sometime during the fight, and was now showing fifty elephants spaced evenly around the planet's equator. "Dammit." He said, sticking his tongue out at the machine. With nowhere else to go, he turned and started heading towards the factory building.

"Her superman." the man said with a small laugh, shrugging with the pistol, as if it had been obvious.

Sasuka's eyes shot open at the words. There was only one person--man, more specifically--that she'd called her superman. She strained to look behind her, but couldn't with how far up the webbing was on her waist.

The man aimed with the pistol at Tenzen. "Now don't do anything stupid."

As if on cue, Tenzen leapt to the left and spewed a thread of webbing at the man hoping to pull him into the light.

The man let out a curse, letting off a few shots at the webbing before it reached him, though having to jump from the extras sprays. He fell from the platform he'd been standing one, and landed with a roll on his left shoulder when he reached the floor, standing up quickly and aiming again, now standing next to Sasuka. "I thought I told you not to do anything stupid?" As he stood into the light, it could be seen he was a fairly older man, maybe into his mid-thirties, with deep red hair spotted here and there by bits of grey, and playful green eyes. He wore a common shirt and jeans, with a white lab coat he'd probably found somewhere in the building, judging by the years of dust and grime. He pushed some hair back from his face with his free hand and smiled down at Sasuka, not faultering his aim on Tenzen. "Hey there, girly."

Sasuka's eyes widened when she saw who it was and broke into a laugh. "Wot the bloody 'ell are you doin' 'ere?!"

"We can chit-chat later, Sasuka, for now, I've got a nasty patient who needs anesthetics."

"DON'T MOCK ME!!" Tenzen roared, his blood almost literally boiling. "What do you think this is, some sort of B-rated action flick?"

The man laughed. "Nah! I don't think that at all! Besides, with you in it, I doubt it would even make the charts." he grinned. "But now to get serious.." He pulled back the hammer on the pistol, closing one green eye as he aimed, then pulled the trigger.

The shot blasted away Tenzen's right two mandibles, making him scream in pain rush towards the two.

"Stay put!" the man called to Sasuka as he jolted away, drawing on Tenzen's anger to divert his attention from the stranded girl.

"Like I 'ave a bloody choice?!" Sasuka called back.

Roaring Tenzen ran after the man, ignoring the tied down Sasuka as he shot short bursts of webbing from his mouth at the man.

The man laughed, able to shoot a couple bits of webbing to pieces before they reached him. One got away though and firmly wrapped itself around his free arm, nearly knocking him back. It restrained his arm from moving between his hand and shoulder, drying almost instantly to hold his arm straight. "Nice shot!" he laughed, looking at the caking webs.

Tenzen Hissed and continued his charge at the man, leaping up into the air to strike down upon him.

The man's face grew serious now as he waited until the last moment, when Sasuka was sure Tenzen would fall on him and chop him to pieces. "NO!" Sasuka screamed, reaching out for him, despite her restraints.

The man smirked at the last minute, allowing the giant spider creature to be almost directly above him before switching the pistol's stun shock to a higher frequency, then pulled the trigger at the last moment.

The man nailed Tenzen square in the chest and sent him flying backwards sevral feet. He dropped his sword brought all his hands up towards his chest while he gasped for air.

The man made a satisfied "hmph" as he blew away the smoke eminating from the pistol barrel. He turned to Sasuka and shrugged, going to her.

Sasuka leaned her chin in one hand on her elbow, smiling with a raised eyebrow. "Piece o' cake, eh?" she chuckled.

"Exactly." he nodded, laughing as he shot off the edges of webbing around her. He then lifted the dried webbing off her with a foot, making a grimace. "Ooh.. gross." he shuddered, making Sasuka laugh out loud. He helped her to her feet, then offered her the pistol. "M'lady, I do believe this is yours." he said, bowing. "Feel free to make the winning blow."

Sasuka took her pistol back from him, hefted it in her hand until her fingers comfortably grasped the hilt and her finger rested against the trigger. She smiled at him a bit evily, then turned to Tenzen.

Still trying to clear his head from the initial shot, Tenzen could just barely lift his head in time to see the girl taking aim at him.

Sasuka gave him a small wink and a grin. "G'night." she whispered, then pulled the trigger, firing a shot right between his eyes.

The force from Sasuka's shot destroyed the rest of Tenzen's mandibles and pushed his face down upon his skull, streching his neck back and out pushing the whole of this head away from his body before finaly rolling up toward the sky. Next his knees gave way and the rest of his body slouched to the ground, with the soft sound of breath penetrating through what was left of his mouth.

Sasuka made a "hmph" sound as she put on the safety and shoved her pistol back into its holster where it belonged, giving it an affectionate pat. "Hope the bounty don' drop cause e's dead." she chuckled, then turned back to the man with a smile.

He smiled back and opened his arms wide. "Now, how about a real 'I missed you'?" he laughed.

Sasuka rolled her eyes, but hugged him tightly, happy to see him again. "S'been so long, Johnny boy, I was wonderin' if ya died!" she joked, pulling back to look at him.

He laughed and rubbed his head. "Nah, I'm fine. You got friends around?"

"Yeh, I was bounty huntin' wit a few others." Sasuka said, remembering them now. She tapped her chin. "We need ta fin' them again."

"Lead the way, then!"

"I would if I knew my way 'round this place!" Sasuka laughed.
